Physical Therapist

This position is located at the Kingman, Arizona (CBOC).
This position is under the supervision of Specialty & Diagnostic Service Line.
The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing a full range of treatments, along with assistance of a PT Assistant.
The objective is to provide appropriate rehabilitation to maximize the patient's functional independence and to improve his/her quality of life.
The selectee(s) must possess professional knowledge of physical therapy concepts acquired.
This includes, but not limited to:
o Evaluates, develops and implements physical therapy treatments to meet each patients individual rehabilitation objectives.
Makes appropriate modifications based upon patients progress.
Regularly informs PM&R interdisciplinary treatment team regarding current status, outcomes and expectations as necessary.
o Interprets physician's prescriptions; develops a specific and individualized physical therapy treatment plan to address the patients current medical and functional deficits.
o Employs the use of all physical therapy modalities, such as heat, cold, ultrasound treatment, electric simulations, etc.
Assists in the development of new protocols based upon current research findings.
o Maintains patient attendance records through scheduling package and checkouts.
o Documentation is done timely and accurately, according to PM&R policy.
o Assists in collection of data that reflects timely, efficient, and accurate ordering, delivery and assembly of systems.
Analyzes the data and identifies problems, and contributes suggestions for improvement.
o Submits prosthetic orders.
o Provides well documented cases for discussion and referral to the Home Care Equipment Committee which meets monthly.
o Carries out other job related activities and special assignments as requested by supervisor.
o When indicated, evaluates patients living environment through home visits or consultation with other health care professionals.
Assists patient and family members in solving problem related to the home environment.
Instructs patient and family in use of equipment and adaptions as necessary.
o Selectee becomes FIM certified and evaluates patients functional abilities.
o Attends and participates in section in-services, medical center educational offerings, professional conferences and workshops.
o Interprets physical therapy to patients, residents, allied health professionals, students, volunteers, visiting public and Veterans Affairs officials.

Licensed PTs in the first and second area of consideration will be referred first.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
