The Warehouse Supervisor is an integral member of the leadership team and must be committed to excellence in everything we do.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
Prior Experience in team development and warehousing systems Basic Knowledge of shipping/receiving Proficient in Microsoft Office Detailed Selection Criteria:
Communication- Effectively expresses ideas or tasks to an individual or group.
Demonstrates effective listening skills through receiving feedback, following instructions and showing a genuine interest in others.
Leadership Presence and Courage - Willingness and confidence to have immediate and direct conversations on critical alignment issues such as teamwork, building relationships, initiating and supporting change, and production process issues that arise.
This includes the willingness to face adversity and conflict head on.
Judgment/Decision Making- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one in a timely manner.
Teamwork - Working as part of a coordinated effort with others to achieve a common goal.
This includes positive, goal-oriented attitude Initiative-Self-motivated with willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges to include effectively utilizing downtime.
Dependability - Being reliable, consistent, responsible, and committed to fulfilling obligations.
Business Acumen- Continually looks for ways to reduce costs and/or improve efficiencies.
Shows an interest in the business and is focused on doing whatever it takes to improve profitability.
Knows how the job affects the success of the division.
Organizing, Planning & Prioritizing Work- Developing specific goals and plans for accomplishing individual work and/or the work of the team.
Preferences:
