Company Description Rivyve Behavioral Health is a 90 bed Behavioral Health Residential Facility (BHRF) located in Bullhead City, AZ.
We provide substance abuse and mental health services for adults over the age of 18.
We are an evidenced based program treating the whole person (mind, body and spirit).
We understand each of our resident's needs is unique and our goal, regardless of the program setting, is to assist each individual with long-term sobriety and mental health stability and awareness.
We deliver services in partnership with government agencies, hospital systems and health plans.
Job Description The Safety/Security Officer will be responsible for the overall safety of the residents/staff and surrounding community by monitoring and patrolling the premises of Rivyve.
Under direct supervision, the Safety Officer will provide for the overall safety of the interior/exterior of the residential environment.
Primary Responsibilities Patrol exterior premises of building to ensure they are secure; may need to navigate ladders, ramps and stairs, as well as run on occasion.
Use both hands to reach and grasp objects or items, or to use the phone to communicate with management/local authorities or to file reports.
Work in weather environments that may sometimes be extremely hot or extremely cold.
Keep mental alertness and attention to detail high, no matter the circumstances.
Maintain a neat and professional appearance, and provide excellent customer service as needed.
Follow established security protocols while using initiative and good judgment.
Requirements:
Statement of Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
Ability to interact with patients, faculty and/or staff in a team environment.
Ability to maintain quality and safety standards of the facility.
Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
Ability to communicate and interact with mental health professionals in a team environment.
Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
Foster a safe and therapeutic community environment.
Maintain appropriate boundaries with clients.
Conditions of Employment CPR/ First Aid Certified Successful candidate must submit to a TB test, or provide a copy of your latest test results in the last 12 months, and Urine analysis.
Must possess a level one Fingerprint Clearance Card (application must be submitted within 20 days of employment) If in recovery, must have a minimum of one year sobriety prior to application.
Drivers must have a clean 36-month vehicle record check Ability to work in the hours from 8pm-6am.
Working Conditions Moves intermittently during working hours.
Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility and its premises.
Is subject to frequent interruptions.
Is involved with residents, family members, personnel, visitors, government agencies and personnel all under various conditions and circumstances.
Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel and visitors.
Is subject to injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, throughout the work day, as well as reactions from dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke and other air contaminants.
Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions, including TB, HIV, AIDS, and Hepatitis B and C viruses.
Education and Qualifications Minimum of 21-years old A High School Diploma or GED Proficient ability to communicate well in writing and verbally.
Ability to perform duties with a minimum of supervision.
Remain calm in stressful situations.
Ability to remain flexible and adapt well.
Ability to function as a team member.
Experience working with multi-cultural and low socio-economic individuals.
General knowledge and aptitude for working with adults regardless of sex, race, age, disability, color, creed, national origin, religion, marital status, affectional orientation, gender identity, or veteran status.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
